In 1953, Little Ricky Arrives! Desi Arnaz Jr., son of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, was born the same day as the regularly scheduled show of "I Love Lucy". He was the second TV baby born; Christopher Stearns was the first.
In 1953, Sixty-eight percent of all TV sets in the U.S. were tuned to CBS-TV this day, as Lucy Ricardo of "I Love Lucy" gave birth to a baby boy -- just as she actually did in real life -- following the script to the letter! The audience for the program was greater than that watching the inauguration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower the following day. In fact, the Lucille Ball 'baby' story knocked the inauguration off the front page of many major newspapers.

Pussycat hypnotizes Robin, and turns him to Catwoman's side before he's rescued. {This caper was titled "THAT DARN CATWOMAN", spoofing a then-popular movie}
In 1973, in a Brady Bunch episode called "Greg Gets Grounded", A near accident in the family car results in Greg's being grounded; Bobby mentions that Greg had a near accident on the freeway and his parents refuse him car priveleges for a week. Greg has an important rock concert date coming up, and no way to get there.

In 1991, "Police" fans Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon annoy "Saturday Night Live" host Sting by singing all of his hit songs on a long elevator ride with him. The sketch, written by Conan O'Brien, will be recreated much to Sting's dismay by an equally creepy fanatic, MTV's Kennedy, when the two both guest in 1996 on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."
In 1991, "The Richmeister", the annoying man by the copier, debut on "Saturday Night Live".
In 2000, Five-time Emmy Award-winning actor Don Knotts was honored as the 2,152nd performer to receive a star on Hollywood's legendary Walk of Fame during a dedication ceremony. Knotts is best known as the gangly deputy on "The Andy Griffith Show" currently showing in reruns on the TV Land network. "This show and Don are truly classic TV icons that are loved by generations of TV fans," said TV Land's Larry Jones.
In 2004, yet another worthless reality series, "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance", debut on Fox.

In 1971, At the Charles Manson murder trial, the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" is played. At the scene of one of his gruesome murders, Manson had written the words "helter skelter" on a mirror.
In 1974, R.C., "Smokin' In The Boy's Room" by Brownsville Station peaked at #3 on the pop singles chart.
In 1976, The Beatles turned down an offer of $30 million to play together again on the same stage. Rock promoter, Bill Sargent, still doesn't understand why the group turned down his generous offer.
In 1980, R.C., "Money" by The Flying Lizards peaked at #50 on the pop singles chart.
In 1985, R.C., "Born In The U.S.A." by Bruce Springsteen peaked at #9 on the pop singles chart. Cheech would remake it into a parody: "Born in East L.A." later that year.
In 1993, singer Tom Waits was allowed to keep the $2.5 million that a judge awarded him after he sued Frito-Lay for using a sound-alike in a commercial. The Supreme Court refused to change the amount of the award.

The show is suddenly halted, and NBC's CEO "Robert Wright" apologies to the viewing audience. Dave is immediately fired from NBC Sports, the Today Show, the NBC Nightly News, and all TV comedies.
