In 1962, "Tell It To Groucho" TV Game Show debut on CBS.
In 1974, in a Brady Bunch episode called "The Driver's Seat", Marcia bets that she can beat Greg's score on the driver's test on Paramount Television's "The Brady Bunch." In "The Driver's Seat," Greg's comments about men being better drivers than women set up their bet. Marcia scores higher on her written test but tightens up when she gets behind the wheel of a car.
In 1979, actor Jack Soo died at the age of 63. He was probably best known for playing Detective Nick Yemana on "Barney Miller."

In 1998, At the 24th Annual People's Choice Awards "ER" was chosen favorite TV drama series for the fourth straight year and Seinfeld was chosen the favorite comedy for the third year running.

In 1928, "Ol' Man River" was recorded on Victor Records this day by Paul Whiteman and his Orchestra. Bing Crosby crooned as the song's featured vocalist. The tune came from the Broadway musical, "Showboat". In the 1950s, Stan Freberg was "forced" by a censor to do the song in a politically correct way as it is known in the 1990s called "Elderly Man River."
In 1952, "Tiger Rag" by Les Paul entered the Top 40 chart.
