In 1974, in a Brady Bunch episode called "Kelly's Kids", Ken Berry and Brooke Bundy guest star as the Bradys' new neighbors, Ken and Kathy Kelly, who decide to adopt a son and end up with three, Ken and Kathy Kelly select eight-year-old Matt from an orphanage. Matt likes his new home, but misses his two friends, Dwayne and Steve, so the Kellys decide to adopt them, too.
In 1984, after canceling Dabney Coleman's "Buffalo Bill," NBC finds a fresh new face to fill the timeslot: Harry Anderson. Having wowed audiences as grifter "Harry the Hat," on "Cheers," Anderson winds up getting the role of inexperienced blue-jean wearing Judge Harold T. Stone on "Night Court." In tonight's debut episode, Judge Stone settles his first case, a wife accused of shooting her husband, by flipping a coin. It's a wacky sitcom also starring John Larroquette that gets progressively wackier during its eight-year run.

In 1954, Elvis Presley, then a Crown Electric Co. truck driver, stopped by a Sun Records studio with an acoustic guitar and four dollars, and recorded two demos "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin". The following August, Sam Phillips the producer put Elvis in his formal studio with bassist Bill Black and Scotty Moore. A new legend was born.
